We believe in teaching kids and teens as young adults and provide straight-forward instruction without talking down to kids. We cook and bake from scratch and recipes are refreshed for each camp and series.
Students are placed into teams of 3-4 students based roughly on age. It is important that students are willing to be a team player to accomplish the class menu. Each class features a culinary theme and incorporates some short demonstration teaching and then hands-on cooking.
Sari Kimbell, a former teacher and food enthusiast, is the kids and teens cooking coordinator. Instructors are skilled in baking and cooking as well as love working with kids and teens.
Who should attend:
Classes are designed for kids and teens and with designated ages recommendations. Students must be able to work well with others and be able to manage some downtime and transitions. If you have a child who falls outside of the age group, please email Sari Kimbell at email@example.com to discuss. Teens 16 years or order are encouraged to take any of the adult classes offered at The Cooking Studio.
Each student needs a waiver on file signed by his or her parent or guardian. If your child is new to The Cooking Studio, please plan on signing a waiver when dropping your child off or send a signed one with him or her.
